Psychotic Friends

Wednesday mornings are usually not good
Not good as in I have 8am lecture
Not good as in the lecture is boring
Not good as in I skipped it rather often

But not today
NO
Because the lecture ended an hour early
Because there was no need to rush for assignments

In the spur of the moment
My psychotic friends decided to go to
The Golden Arches
For breakfast

We took the Sunway shuttle bus
It was a first for some of them
They were like Japanese tourists
It was fun

We met Super Snail while waiting
It was so cute
But it freaked everyone out
Except me

I tried to picked it up
It was too sticky and determined
It crawled all the way up to the seat
Two hours later when we came back

Pyramid was like a ghost town
Only selected stores were open
And a few people around
Including us

It was even possible
To go up and down the escalator for fun
Without people staring at us
Thinking we are psychotic

McDonald's prescription
seemed to have an effect on us
I don't know if it is
Good or bad

We decided it was good
So we modeled
To help them with their advertising
The left clearly out did the right

Though it was short
It was a fun outing
The curse was finally broken
The many failed psychotic outings curse

Thanks to my psychotic friends...
...Shamsul's soporific lectures are not so bad
...Carina's sarcasm is easier to bear
...Tam's whacked accent often becomes background noise
...Paul's awesomeness becomes even more awesome!

HOMECUT

My cousin recently opened his own home hair salon.
Being the nice cousin that I am, I offered to help him advertise for free =)

This is just something I designed, not his official logo.
Don't even know if he'll actually use it so yea....

I actually went to his salon this morning because one of my cousin (yes I have A LOT of cousins =P) wanted to color her hair. I totally the color she got!! It was this really cool dark color that shines different shades of purple under different lighting !!! I took a picture of it (you can actually see the different shades of purple) but too bad my cousin accidentally deleted it =(

If you are looking for affordable hair salon services, why not give my cousin's home salon a try =)

He cuts, trims, colors, curls, rebonds, and do treatments.
He uses professional Wella products.
So don't worry about screwing your hair up with cheapass chemicals from China.
If you are wondering about his skills, he has had a few years of experience in professional salons.
He even cut my hair a few times when he came to visit, so no worries ^_^

He is located at Taman Mayang, near the St. Ignatius Catholic Church and Kelana Jaya LRT station.

For further details contact Chee Siang at 012-9898014
If he ask, just say you got his number from my blog =) If not, then whatever~

Mukhsin

It was my first time watching a Yasmin Ahmad production and I gotta say it was FUCKING AWESOME!!! Too bad my experience had to be after her death =(

~May she rest in peace~

The movie almost brought me to tears T_T
I swear I was going to cry if I hadn't insist on reminding myself that I was in a lecture -_-''
Okay fine! To be honest, one tear actually rolled down my cheek T^T
I just couldn't help it, it was so sad and touching =(

Turn up the speaker please =)
p.s. I had to edit this video from the trailer because I just couldn't find any video showing only that part!

This has got to be my favorite scene in the movie,
along with the ending scene where Mukhsin does the same thing.
I can't help but think that there's a meaning behind that gesture.

KTM Ladies Coach

My brother wanted to go down to Time Square to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday so mum decided to go down to KL as well by TRAIN! She said she wanted to familiarize herself with the public transport system so she can go down to KL by herself next time (I really don't know why she fears driving down to KL =S). Since mum didn't want to go alone, I accompanied her with the thought of going to shop at KLCC =P (though we ended up window shopping only -_-'')

It's been a while since I last took the train down to KL, and for someone like me who seldom pay attention to the news, I was quite surprised by the ladies coach concept.

The middle coach of the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) is now reserved for ladies only AT ALL TIMES.

Banners are put up at the station to marked the waiting area for the ladies coach.
The poles were even painted pink in some of the stations.

These stickers can also be seen on the middle coach's windows.

As most of you will know, the train is a great place for perverts to explore, especially during peak hours where you have nowhere to run because everyone is packed like sardines. To reduce the amount of sexual harassments, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) came up with this ladies only coach solution. Though the reason behind this concept is good, I find it a bit ridiculous and unnecessary.

WHY?
  1. It is sexist. Female and kids (little boys below the age of 12 are allowed in the coach if accompanied by a female caretaker) can sexually harass passengers too.
  2. Nobody adheres to the rules unless an officer is monitoring at the station. My brother got on the ladies coach along with me and mum. There were a few other male passengers on board too.
  3. If officers need to be hired to make sure only females board the ladies coach, the price of the train ticket is most likely going to increase and everybody will start complaining.
  4. It is unfair to male passengers during peak hours. But the officers didn't care about them boarding the ladies coach then.
  5. Because of No. 4 above, it defeats the purpose of having a ladies coach in the first place. Peak hours are perverts' happy hour.
  6. We are going backwards in terms of development. Women did not fight for their rights to vote so they can have a coach all to themselves.
  7. It is an insult to women, implying that we cannot fend for ourselves and need such an exclusive benefit to protect us.

All that said, I do quite enjoy not having to rub my ass against unwanted hands, asses and crotches. Maybe I was just lucky to board the train during non-peak hours. I have experienced squeezing myself into a metro in Singapore numerous times before and it was definitely not pleasant even without mysterious hands wandering around.

On a side note, how do you pronounce 'koc'? I'm not sure whether it's because I don't speak Malay very well or I just happened to be thinking dirty...but I pronounced 'koc' as 'cock' when I first saw the word and was wondering what the hell 'koc wanita' means until I read the English translation -_-''
