Twilight

I got a copy of Twilight last Friday at the Popular warehouse sale at Summit. The reason I even picked it up was because I didn't want to leave empty-handed, really. Since it was on sale I was tempted to grab New Moon too, but decided against it since I wasn't sure if it was worth buying after watching the badly made movie. I have also yet to experience how different Twilight (the book) was going to be from Twilight (the movie), so I left it at that. I'm totally regretting it now T^T

I am so glad that I got the book. *grinning widely* It's AMAZING; so different from the movie! I totally agree with the rest that the movie really sucked ass now.

Before reading the book, I thought Bella was suppose to be cold, emotionless and whatever she was in the movie. But the book totally shed a new light on her; she was so much more normal and way easier to relate to. Either Kristen Stewart is a really bad actress or the director failed to capture Bella's personality properly.

And my oh my, Robert Pattinson really have to thank Meyer for making him more appealing. This is the first time I've read the book after watching the movie so it was hard to dream up my own image of the characters. Naturally, Robert Pattinson's face shows up whenever I see the word Edward. It was really annoying at first because I really don't find him attractive, but as I read on, he became hotter, hotter and hotter. I really fell in love with him *ahem* NOT Robert Pattinson but Edward Cullen himself. Could anyone be more perfect? *sigh with starry eyes*

I love Edward Cullen.
I love the story.
I would love to be in Bella's place.

Okay, back to reality =( The book really got me thinking. I guess you can say that it's a bit weird that a novel like that could get me thinking, not in the fantasizing lovey-dovey-eye kind of way, but in a more realistic way if that makes any sense at all.

I'm pretty sure I don't have to emphasize how perfect a boyfriend Edward Cullen is, his looks (not you Pattinson >_<), his voice, his eyes, his body, his strength, his speed, his love and of course his deadly identity *hehe* and may I add that he is totally huggable as well *melts* But can someone like that really exist in real life? Will I ever find my Edward?

It took Edward more than 90 years to find Bella, will mine take as long? I want to believe that there is that one person who is meant for me, but I'm afraid that I might die before I meet him. It really scares me. It will be lonely.

Maybe I'm just being emo feeling this way because of the residue effect the book had left on me. I guess it really puts you in the I-want-a-boyfriend mood. *sigh* I really don't mean to sound desperate =(

Can't wait to read New Moon and the rest......

Honeymoon after New Moon

Went to watch New Moon last Wednesday with Audrey, Jeanette, Jaime, and Veronica at Sunway Pyramid. I guessed it was sort of a belated birthday gathering for Audrey since none of us could make it that Sunday.

Thanks to Veronica, we got "superb" seats — 4th row from the front @_@ And NO, Robert Pattinson DID NOT look any hotter, not like he was in the first place anyway *rolls eyes*

I found New Moon to be worst than Twilight for the following reason:
  • There were no cool fighting/flying scenes, which was probably the best part in Twilight (the movie).
  • Unnecessary slow-motion scenes with the not-very-hot Robert Pattinson, and he even took off his clothes which was just a huge turn-off for me (he could have at least shaved or something, I don't know).
  • The first two-thirds of the movie was actually quite boring, and when it started to get good the movie ended -_-''
  • From the movie point of view, everything was somewhat predictable, yet it didn't really make a lot of sense if you get what I mean. Hopefully Ill get it when I read the book (yes I haven't read the book yet, but I've finally started on Twilight, and may I say more than halfway through with it already =P).
Despite all my negative remarks on the movie, there is actually one thing or rather one person that I like — Taylor Lautner a.k.a. Jacob Black. He is HAWT! after he chopped of his long hair *haha* and his body was just mouth-watering *drools* obviously a huge difference compared to Pattinson's *LOL* You should get it now that I have nothing against Robert Pattinson. I just happened to like them tan *wink*

After the movie, we met Sun Mei at My Honeymoon Dessert. They have A LOT of choices of cold/hot desserts and drinks. It took us quite a while to decide what we wanted.

In the end I settled with Nata-de Coco World (E3) — the one on the right. It was quite nice since there was not only nata de coco but pearls as well in some sort of milk mixture ^_^ The only thing that I didn't really like was the crystal grass jelly (the opaque white cubes). I have no idea what it was and it tasted a bit weird. It had a slight milk taste, a little sweet and had a harder-than-jelly texture =S

As usual, mum had to pick me up after my brother finished school so I couldn't stay to chat for longer =( Maybe I should grow some balls (not literally of course!) and start driving on my own so I won't be constrained by mum's time *sigh*

Coach Clearance Sale Hoax

Today is a SUNDAY during my HOLIDAY and I woke up EARLY for the one-day only Coach clearance sale held at Armada Hotel.

They (organized by Bebito Luxury Deal Enterprise) had advertised that the sale would be from 9am - 4pm and lured people with special promotions. The 1st 10 customers who spend RM2000+ will receive a free Coach gift worth RM180 and the 1st 10 who spend RM1000+ will receive an additional 10% off.

What a bunch of BULLSHIT!!

My mum, cousin and I arrived around 9.15am and GUESS WHAT?!?!

EVERYTHING WAS SOLD OUT!!!!

We didn't even get to go inside the ballroom!!

As you can see there was a HUGE mob of people waiting outside for answers from the management.

Some people started banging on the door and there were a lot of swearing going on. The commotion went on for some time and one of the person-in-charge finally came out to explain.

The lady in pink recorded the whole damn thing and said she was going to post it on Youtube.
So stay tuned =P

It was explained that there were only limited items (how many? like 50? 100? 500?) and everything was sold out. Then why advertise it as CLEARANCE SALE and stated a time duration from 9am - 4pm which is clearly a long time for limited items sales!

There were not only problems with angry shoppers who did not even get a glimpse of the bags. There were problems with payment for those few lucky shoppers as well.

For some reason or another, the credit card machine brokedown and those lucky few who probably got there super early and got what they wanted had to wait for their friends to come over with cash -_-''

On a side note, we spotted 江伟翰 (Monday Kang Wei Han), a local celebrity with a weird English name XD. I only remember him from 美食厨师男 (Romantic Delicacies) but mum said he acted in a few other shows as well.

You can't see his face in the picture cause I was not tall enough and there were too many people around. I got a clear view of him while we were waiting for the lift when we decided to leave but I was too embarrass to take his photo in such an indiscreet way x_X

My dream of owning a 名牌包包 (branded bag) was crushed thanks to these stupid organizers >_<

Mind you they were REALLY STUPID. People who came all the way and paid parking for no reason asked for a refund and they gave us stamps for a flat rate of RM4 when it only cost RM2 for the first hour -_-'' I wonder if the people who parked at the private parking (RM5 per entry) got anything at all.

THANKS FOR
WASTING OUR FUCKING TIME

Note: Apparently something similar had happened in Penang before with the same organizer. So beware.
