Attachment with Promac Industries Sdn. Bhd.

Desperate for money, I got 'conned' into working for Promac Industries Sdn. Bhd. for about a month.

It was more like an attachment than anything, and we (Fabian and I) were put in the production department. Our job included studying the production lines and writing out the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for each production. This means we had to stand around staring at people for aaaageeesssss until our feet are sore T_T

We were in the milk powder area for the first week. It was pretty cool because it was air-conditioned and rather clean, unlike the palm oil area which was dirty and hot...ugh! We really learned to enjoy being in the milk powder rooms despite the noise and smell after experiencing the other production lines LOL

This is what I look like in the milk powder room XD It was actually a pain to put everything on and take everything off each time I go in and out, not to mention having to wash my hands countless of times -_-''

We got to try the clinching machine. I was actually quite scared because who knows I might accidentally clinch my fingers or what not =S

This is part of the palm oil area where they put the rejected cans and store the label rolls. You can see how dirty and oily the floor is. We were told that the original color of the floor was green like the one in the milk powder rooms @_@ Yuckily, we were stuck here for most of the second week.

In the third week, we were asked to create an introductory slide-show presentation for the company. I thought it would be pretty awesome because I love making slide-shows, but I got so sick of the whole thing when we finally finished +_+ I now understand why every employee hates their boss >_<
Note: OpenOffice Impress really suck!!!!!!

The last week was sort of boring because we didn't do much. We spent most of our time running weight checks, and talking in the office where the miserable air-con decided to fail on us -_-''

We managed to hang in there until PAY DAY!! We were super psyched up until we open our envelopes and found only RM200. WHAT THE HELL?! It said RM400 for a month in the e-mail, which was already a crappy deal. Giving us an allowance (that's what they called it) of RM200 is just too much man. We were shocked beyond belief and quickly scanned through the pay slip. Lo and behold, they calculated our working days wrong (the punch card system is seriously outdated!). After some minor checks, they finally got the numbers right. But the final pay we got was still really shitty because the original offer of RM400 was for a 6-day week (which was not clarified at the beginning) and we only worked 5 days each week — FML.

RM2.20 per hour?!?! McDonald's pay better for god's sake. I'm glad we did not have to pay for petrol (our supervisor drove us all the way to Kapar from Subang) or we would have nothing left.

There goes my first real job experience -_-'' Looking at the bright side, at least I managed to learn about the 5S system that may come in handy in my next assignment XD

2.2 is really low to be honest.. others would pay rm3.5 an hour or more.. =)
